Alright, so my favorite type of exercise has gotta be walking. It’s just the perfect mix of everything for me. You get a great low-impact workout. You’re just outside, moving. And you can fit it into any time of day. You don’t need any special equipment. Just a comfy pair of shoes.my favorite type of exercise

Experts say we should walk for about 20 to 30 minutes a day. And honestly, that time goes by so fast. You can listen to the podcast. Or just enjoy the quiet. It’s a great way to reset your mind. A perfect break.

I love that it’s not just physical. It’s mental too. Being outside completely clears my head. The fresh air. The rhythm of my steps. I always feel so much better afterwards.

And the best part? You can go at your own pace. Some days I wanna push myself and walk really fast. Other days, I just take a gentle stroll. It’s all good. There’s no pressure. Plus, it’s a fantastic activity to do with friends. Much better than just sitting inside a coffee shop, right?

So yeah, for me, it’s the ideal exercise. It keeps you healthy and happy. And you get to see your neighborhood in a new way. Definitely my top recommendation for anyone. Just find a nice path and give it a try.

    A Challenge I’ve Overcome

Alright, so the challenge I wanna talk about is my fear of public speaking. It was a huge issue for me. My hands would shake. My voice would get quiet. I just hated being the center of attention.

Then I got a job that required me to lead team meetings. I couldn’t avoid it anymore. I was so nervous for the first one. I practiced my notes for hours. I was gonna be fine, right?

Well, the meeting didn’t go perfectly. I talked a bit too fast. I forgot to mention a key point. But I got through it. And nobody complained. That was a big realization for me. The audience is usually on your side. They want you to succeed.

So I kept at it. I focused on preparing just three main ideas. Not memorizing everything. Just the key points. It got easier each time. Now, I actually enjoy it sometimes. A huge weight is lifted. You know what I mean? It’s proof that we can grow from our biggest challenges. Just takes a bit of practice and courage.

    My dream job and why?

Okay, so my dream job is definitely to be a tour guide. I wanna be one of those guides who shows off a amazing, bustling city. The energy would be incredible, right?

I love the idea of sharing the hidden secrets of a place. You meet people from everywhere. Every tour is a new adventure. My goal is to explore the city’s history and stunning attractions with tourists  Not just list dates and names. Make it a story.

The best part is making a city feel personal. I’m gonna point out the best coffee shops. The cool street art everyone misses. I want my group to feel like a local for a day. You know?

Of course, it’s not a easy job. You need  energy and a lot of passion. Walking all day is tiring. But for me, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It combines my love for this city with my love of talking to people. A perfect fit, really. Just gotta learn some more fun facts.

  • The Past Indefinite Tense

    Past simple tense

    Definition

The Past Indefinite Tense (also called the Simple Past Tense) is used to describe actions that happened and finished at a specific time in the past. It tells about completed events, a series of past actions, or past habits and states that are no longer true.

For all subjects we use the same past form for regular verbs (verb + ed) or the irregular past form. To make negatives and questions we use the auxiliary did (did not / didn’t) plus the base verb.

    I did my homework yesterday.

Did you see that movie last night?

They did not come to the party.

    # Sentence Structures

Affirmative: Subject + past verb + object.

Example sentences: I visited my cousin last Sunday. He finished the book. They watched the sunset.

Negative: Subject + did not / didn’t + base verb + object. (Do not use verb+ed after did not.)

Example sentences: I didn’t eat breakfast. She did not like the documentary. The students did not answer the question.

Interrogative: Did + subject + base verb + object?

Example sentences: Did you call your mother? Did he finish the project? Did they arrive on time?

Negative Interrogative: Did + subject + not + base verb + object? or Didn’t + subject + base verb + object?

Example sentences:  Didn’t you see the message? Did she not study for the test? Did they not tell you?

Time expressions commonly used with the Past Indefinite

yesterday, last night, last week, two days ago, in 2010, when I was a child, an hour ago.

Example sentences: I met her two days ago. He left the office an hour ago. We traveled to Lahore last year.

    # Forming the Past with Regular and Irregular Verbs

Regular verbs: add ed to the base verb to form the past.

Example sentences: I walked to the market. She cleaned her room. We watched the match.

Irregular verbs: these do not follow a single pattern; each verb has its own past form. You must learn them.

Example sentences: He went to school. They ate lunch at noon. She had a headache.

    # Spelling rules for regular verbs

If a verb ends with e, add only d: arrive → arrived.

If a verb ends with a single vowel + single consonant and the final syllable is stressed (or the verb is one-syllable), double the final consonant and add ed: stop → stopped, plan → planned.

If a verb ends with consonant + y, change y to i and add ed: carry → carried. If it ends with vowel + y, just add ed: play → played.

You know, I was just thinking the other day about how nice it would be to have a cat. Maybe a simple tabby cat. They’re so independent, you know?

Life with a cat seems pretty peaceful. I’d love the simple routine of filling up her food bowl each morning. Maybe even giving her a little treat when she’s being good. They are quiet and graceful. Perfect for a quieter home. I kinda wanna just watch them nap in a sunbeam. So relaxing. They have this amazing ability to entertain themselves. A little string. A crumpled paper ball. It’s enough for hours of fun.

Of course, they still show affection. But on their own terms. Right? That’s the fun of it. When a cat chooses to sit on your lap, it feels like a real compliment. A special moment.

They are also easier for some lifestyles. You don’t have to take them for walks every day. Especially if you live in a apartment. A good scratching post and some toys are essential, though. You gotta protect your furniture!

So yes, a cat is a wonderful choice. A lot of personality in a small package. What do you find most appealing about cats?

How I Balance Work and life

Finding a good balance between work and life is a constant effort, right? It doesn’t just happen. You have to be intentional about it

For me, it starts with strong boundaries. I simply don’t check work emails after 6 PM. That time is for me. For family, dinner, or just relaxing. You know? It’s so important to disconnect completely.

I also try to be super productive during the workday. That means focusing on big tasks first. Less social media, more deep work. This helps me finish on time. I ain’t gonna stay late if I can help it!

Weekends are for relaxation I might go for a hike. Or just read a book. Sometimes I do absolutely nothing—and that’s perfectly fine! It’s all about managing your energy, not just your time. The goal is to feel good and to be present in both parts of your life. It’s a practice, really. We’re all learning.

After a long day of staring at screens, your eyes need a break. Right?

Fresh air, moving my body. It makes all the difference.

I usually head to the park near my house. I love watching the dogs play and seeing the leaves change colour.

It’s so simple, but it brings me real peace.

A moment of quiet in a busy world.

Sometimes my friends join me. That’s great, too! Good conversation and a bit of exercise. Perfect combo.

Honestly, I think everyone should try it. Just leave your phone behind for 20 minutes. You might be surprised how good it feels.

It’s best medicine for a busy mind. And you don’t need any special equipment or anything. Just a comfy pair of shoes. I always come back feeling calmer and more focused.

A Skill I’m Trying to Learn

Alright, so the skill I’m really trying to learn these days is baking. Not just bread, but all of it. Pastries, cakes, pies. The whole works, you know? It’s a science and an art. Which is tricky for me.

I started with simple stuff. Like chocolate chip cookies. Even that was hard. Getting them chewy, not cakey. My first batch was a bit of a disaster. They spread out into one giant cookie. A tasty mess, though!

My biggest challenge is patience. And reading the recipe properly. I always miss a step or an ingredient. Like forgetting baking powder. Rookie mistake, right? The cake was so dense. A real doorstop.

But I’m gonna keep at it. I really wanna master a perfect, flaky pie crust. That’s the dream. Just gotta practice. And maybe invest in an oven thermometor. I hear that’s key. Even the failures taste pretty good, so it’s a win really.

    How I Stay Motivated

Staying motivated is a challenge for everyone. Right? I find a few key things really help me. First, I set very small goals. I don’t just say “I need to get fit.” Instead, I say “I will walk for 20 minutes today.” It feels achievable. You know?

Celebrating tiny wins is crucial, too. Finished a task? Reward yourself with a coffee break. It keeps the momentum going. I also keep a “done list.” It’s amazing for motivation. Looking back at what you’ve already accomplished feels good. Way better than just staring at a to-do list.

Finally, I try to remember my ‘why.’ The big reason behind the goal. Connecting to the deeper purpose makes the hard work meaningful. And on tough days? I just focus on starting. Just the first step. Often, motivation follows action. It’s surprising how well that works try it.
